Room 512, Thursday evening

Brooke was currently torturing herself. Namely, she was surfing the websites of the stores she used to shop and designers she liked and it was resulting in a sort of occasional whimper as she once again remembered she couldn't have any of it. She was beginning to wonder if she could sell blood at the clinic. Yeah, it had been gross and she'd felt all light-headed afterwards last time she did it, but she'd spent way less money on drinks, and clothing was an investment.

This is what she was doing at least until Rock of Love finished downloading.

"I see I've gathered another nickname," Peter said. "Thanks."

"The opportunity was there, there are multiple Peters..." She shrugged. "I had to do something to keep you guys straight."

"Sometimes I've been called Steve," Peter said. "But I like hard-to-get Peter. It's more of a compliment."

"I may just have to make sure this one sticks then," she decided.

"I'll have to make sure to do something newsworthy every Wednesday," Peter said. "So you'll have a reason to mention it."

"Deal," she said. "Since you know, talking about you's such a chore and all."

"I've been told I'm real boring since I stopped being a slut."

"No, the correct phrasing is, 'started playing hard to get'," she reminded him. "And I really doubt you're boring."

"Very nice," Peter said. "At this rate the student's going to pass the teacher."

"Is there a gold star in my future?" she asked.

"Depends: are you going to hock it for those shoes?"

"If it was that simple, I'd be a much better student," she answered.

"I'm not making any promises," Peter said.

"You realize now I'm going to be hassling you for gold stars on the radio now, right?" Brooke said.

"Go nuts," Peter said. "I'll just hassle you to earn them."

"Though without the benefit of a weekly public voice, ha."

"Sam Winchester's my best friend," Peter said. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing me the favor on Saturdays."

"Oh, so we're gonna play that game? Because don't think I can't make contacts," she warned.

"Too bad, that would have really added some barriers there," she grinned.

"I figured you had a tough row to hoe since you can't figure out how to work doors," Peter replied, grinning back.

Of course Brooke focused on one word, teasing or not. "What'd you just call me?"

"You didn't even pick up on the ho thing. You really are invested in this," she said, shaking her head.
