OOC: The info post!
So as the newbie, Brooke gets her own section of the ol' info post before I get to my other characters, woo.
the basics on brooke, aka ...okay this is the only really needed section
Brooke Davis is your normal, average and slightly stereotypical 16-year-old head cheerleader hailing from Tree Hill, NC. She's the only child of rich, busy parents who kind of threw money at her to get her to go away, which means she's a fun-loving little party girl with some serious issues about not being good enough. Overall, she's a nice, friendly, outgoing, slightly dorky spazzy girl with a serious Mean Girls side to her when she's feeling hurt or threatened. She's a little social coordinator, really creative, horrible in a crisis (notice the abundance of weepy icons), and surprisingly scrappy in a teenage girlfight.
I think the best adjective to describe her would probably be something like "happy-go-slutty", really, and she's really kind of forward about it. ICly, if she wants something, she's pretty persistent about getting it. OOCly, I know how to take a hint, so never be afraid to say something if Brooke comes on too strong. She got hurt pretty bad by the first guy she ever really really really liked (thanks, Lucas), so she's not going to want an actual relationship, but hookups are totally fine, as long as the person meets her standards. Unless she's too drunk to notice. La.
She's coming from mid-season 2, where her parents end up in serious financial trouble. In canon, her parents move to California and Brooke goes to stay with her ex-boyfriend's mom to finish out the school year before getting her own place in season three, which MAKES NO SENSE. (Look, I never said One Tree Hill was a good show, but it's awesome and crack and you should all watch it.) Instead of that, her parents are going to move to Virginia, shipping Brooke off to a nearby boarding school because they still don't want to be dealing with her. Note that Brooke and Lucas aren't actually from the same reality/point in canon, but this should be so much easier to deal with than it is with my other characters. Thank god.
um, she kinda looks like that other girl...?
Why yes she does, nice of you to notice. And before you ask, no, I don't girlcrush on Sophia Bush. You know how sometimes you plan and plan on bringing in one person or another in and then the time comes to app and you just have to try someone against the plan? Yeah, that's sort of what happened here. So due to Jaina's PB being Brooke's actual actress, it's totally cool to notice that they sort of look alike. However, it shouldn't be too hard to tell them apart, as Brooke's 5'6", thereby making her almost half a foot taller, and their style of dress is very different, seeing as how Brooke would be more of a Forever 21/Charlotte Russe shoppper (only more upscale), and also they're kind of nothing alike personality-wise.
And I apologize in advance for the wrong logins and icon slipups that are bound to happen.
And on to the others. Of which there are many.
jaina solo
Jaina is from the Star Wars Expanded Universe, specifically the New Jedi Order books. The daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia, she's a 17-year-old Jedi and Rogue Squadron pilot who's spending about as much time away from her squadron in Fandom as she did in the books for various reasons, I know, wtf. Occasionally she goes home for a canon catchup, which are getting to be more and more like whammies as the books go on. Canon's seriously mean to the girl. She's generally pretty easy to get along with, if blunt and often tactless (plz note how she can dish it out but can't take it), though she's one you'd probably not want to mess with unless you want to be slammed into a wall via Force.
Regarding Force powers, Jaina is totally capable of all the usual Jedi stuff you know from the movies, along with some stuff that popped up in the books (including some I blatantly disregard due to having gone "...They can do WHAT now? OH COME ON."). She should be able to pick up on thoughts (she's not a mind-reader, but can pick up on general impressions) and emotions, but will never do so unless your narrative gives enough to go on. I'm also very wary of overstepping boundaries, so I try to keep things vague enough that you can completely avoid questions if you want to, and you can always feel free to ping me if you do or don't want to go there. Further info here.

Aeryn's an alumni, graduated in May, and currently living in Cambridge, MA with her sparkly new husband John Crichton. She's Sebacean, an alien who looks very very human, and grew up in a military society called the Peacekeepers, which she left not entirely of her own free will, taking refuge in Fandom instead. She's mellowed out a lot since the start of the game, but is still very likely to be able to kick most people's asses and is still pretty prone to violence, is a very capable pilot, feels naked when she's not armed, and doesn't really get the society even after living here. She thinks the entire planet is weird, and I continue sticking her in menial jobs like she's Darth Maul in Sith Academy or something (I'm so mean to her) to make it worse. She's not a huge fan of normal life, but she wishes she was. And more info here.
Important note: Aeryn learned at homecoming that she's pregnant, but given Peacekeeper biology, it's a little different where she comes from. For instance, unless you've got a canon ability to psychically tell or something (and have OOC permission to know), no one can tell. She can keep the baby in stasis for seven years or until she chooses to release it from stasis, whichever comes first, so she shows no signs of pregnancy and can still put herself through everything she did beforehand. Very few people know about it and Aeryn's not big on telling everyone quite yet, and while eventually this will change, I'd like to keep it that way for now.

Just in case there's anyone still unfamiliar with Harry Potter, Hermione's a witch from England, bff to Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, and would probably be way smarter than everyone if she didn't go to school with a bunch of other people who are way smarter than everyone. She came to Fandom in the summer of 2006 after going through the events of Goblet of Fire, and would now be in her sixth year at Hogwarts if she wasn't sent to Fandom. She can usually be found studying, and yes, Crookshanks came with her. If you want to read more, here you go.
ka d'argo
D'Argo's from Farscape, an escaped wrongly-convinced criminal who ended up in Fandom without knowing how, and recently he became mayor, so he's kind of stuck. He's an alien, a Luxan warrior, who might just be the most alien alien Fandom has right now. Besides the mayoral job, he also works Caritas, and likes that job tons better because it is at a bar. (*frown* I'm starting to see a trend with my characters.) Further information here.

Jaye's technically a normal character, except that she may be clinically insane. She's saddled with the unfortunate ability or what have you to be able to hear inanimate versions of animals talking to her, telling her to do things that change other people's lives. Seriously, she might be crazy. At first really afraid to let this get out, even in Fandom, Jaye's given up caring and will kind of tell anyone now because seriously, no one has had any reaction to it other than "Oh." She's an alumni, currently living in LA and working for Angel Investigations. And oh look, more info!
That was so much longer than I intended.
